We use it to wash and condition your hair , to style your hair - before blow dry and after blow dry including HAIRSPRAY. The reason why I should emphasize hairspray is because many people's experience with hairspray which is hard,very strong fragrant and can act as fly trap!Our hair spray is very different indeed, it is water soluble , holds well but not super hard,mouldable,not strongly fragrant which suit both sexes and most importantly anti humidity.We believe in quality and value , it will save you lots of money in the long run if the right product is used.

We offer a professional and personalised service. Do you know that we have a separate team of Hair Cutter/Hair Design and Hair Technician/Hair Colorist? No Malaysian salons has ever done that because we feel that hair would not be called "Crowning Glory" for nothing. It would be a disaster if it is cut or colored wrongly.It is wise to choose the professionals rather than asking apprentices to color for you. Our apprentices are only responsible for your wash and blow dry , all other services are by our highly trained hairdressers.

Our team of hair cutters and hair colorists went through a stringent test regardless of their experience before they are allowed to work on the floor.This is to maintain a standard quality of work because all hair styles and colors will represent The Met KL therefore understanding the basic foundation in cutting/styling and coloring are most important. One bonus point to share is that 90% of our team came from a well known international chain of salons called Toni&Guy Hairdressing,U.K based salon. Quality and standard of work are assured.

We are already well known that your hair will not only look good at the salon but at home too! Many customers experienced nice hair only when it is blow dry at the salon , we are able to tackle this situation with our customers. It all boils down to the quality of hair cuts , the foundation has to be strong. The sectioning,angles and the degree are part of hairdresser's education in hairdressing.If these are not used on the cutting or coloring technique properly, you will definately find it a challenge to perform your own styling.

The truth about hair coloring

I have been in the industry for over 10 years , shorter if compared to other pioneer and experience hairdressers here but long enough and experience enough as a sole hair colorist. The reason as a sole Hair Colorist because it isn't a Malaysian salon culture to have a separate division cater to cut and color only. I have taken a bold step to set up this division with only one aim. It is to create hair coloring awareness locally.

Hair Coloring has been making Malaysian women beautiful with their shiny color rich hair and I think all women need to have their colored. Hair coloring has different objectives for different reasons. Even natural hair ( We,hairdressers called it " Virgin Hair") needs color because our tropical weather with scorching hot sun would cause oxdation of hair pigments. It is much like what our asian skincare requirements now for eg : whitening products , skincare for uneven skin tones , pigmentation etc etc. All these are caused mainly from the exposure to sun and its UV rays.

Skin and hair share the same components , they are both made of cells and regenerate. Both needs moisture and protein to live therefore hair can be of uneven tone too. For women with hair at shoulder length would observed hair being slightly reddish to orange tone at the ends. It is called natural discoloration , just like pigmentation on our skin which we call uneven skin tone.

In this instance , hair coloring could be of help to even out the entire tone from roots to ends without altering our natural hair color. Hair will still remain deep rich brown tone with added shine. There is strictly no lightening involved.

Let's go to another objective , to enhance your hair cut. Hair color is a fantastic tool to embellish your hair. Treat this like your make-up , a simple lipstick and blusher can make a big change to your face. You will look radient and bright. Color work like highlights , low lights . slices and color placements can do wonders to your hair. Go for natural tones like caramel , chocolate or honey color for your highlights or base. Another perception of highlights is that they are all yellow stripes which is not correct. Highlights can be all sorts of tones and this will be determined after your communication with your hair colorist. Choice of tones will depend on your skin tone , eye color and personality.

Another objective of hair color is being creative , making a bold statement , to express who you are. This direction could be of bold colors like vibrant red , violet , blue , copper or even green.

What do you think about hair grooming in KL ? Do you think they are well groomed and in emaculate condition like the celebs we see in OK! or Hello magazine? I am sure plenty of women and men are seeking the look and styles.



I think the awareness in hair grooming is indeed getting stronger due to the fact that even TV is showing them. Have you missed "Making the cut" on Discovery Travel and Living channel. It is time that hair is given due credit.



So what is so important about hair? I do think it is extremely important , both men and women can't live without them even though it is just harden keratin , dead proteins and cells. Men with hair thinning problems are constantly seeking remedy , women have been giving all sorts of demands and requests of do's and don't's on what we should do to their hair. Some women would also refuse to cut their hair short for the sake of change citing the reasons like " my boyfriend prefer long hair" or "long hair is sexier". Talking about change of hair style, there were also strange request like " I want to have a change but I want to keep my hair long".mmmmmm, quite challenging indeed.



How women and men wear their hair apparently would provide them the confidence and how they present themselves. If hair is so important , why do I see so many "hair victims" in KL? It is blatant in fact especially hair color. I am sure many of us have witness many women wearing a "super long regrowth" I called it the SLR.It may sound glam but not on the hair.For those of you who could not understand the term , just look for 2" - 5 " of dark roots with faded color at the ends.The faded color would normally give the immpression of brasiness , dull and dry feeling. The ends are orange or yellow in color.



I am trying to find a solution to counter this phenomenon , I am not exagerating. They are too many of them in Jln Bkt.Bintang alone , many of them are educated , well dressed corporate ladies.



To the ladies out there , perhaps you could help give me some light on how could hairdressing help to combat this situation.
